Ramen Tatsu-ya Announces Second Location in Houston

Coming Late 2025 to Memorial City

HOUSTON - In late 2025, Ramen Tatsu-ya’s adding a second Houston shop at Town & Country Village (600 West Sam Houston Pkwy North, #605) in Memorial City! This announcement comes as we celebrate the eighth anniversary of our first Houston location in Montrose (1722 California Street).

With our original shop founded in Austin in 2012, Ramen Tatsu-ya first expanded to Houston in February of 2017 after seeing Houstonians make the 2.5-hour trek to slurp our ramen.

Known for our iconic, 60-hour tonkotsu (pork bone broth) plus chicken and veggie versions with carefully-chosen toppings, Ramen Tatsu-ya also offers up small plates, refreshing beverages, and a cool ambiance. Our always-steamy bowls come with a backdrop of funky murals, thumping music and friendly, laid-back service.

“Almost immediately after joining the team in January 2021, I knew there was enough demand to expand the Ramen Tatsu-ya footprint in Houston,” says Todd Patterson, General Manager at Ramen Tatsu-ya Montrose. “We’re stoked to have found a place to make our ramen accessible to more Houstonians while we continue to bring enhancements to our Montrose location,” he adds.

Ramen Tatsu-ya has been on an expansion streak since June 2024, when we opened our seventh ramen shop situated in Round Rock. Look out for many more in Texas after we kick things off in Houston’s Memorial City!
